PLANTING AND DESIGN LOGIC

THIS HOMEOWNER REQUESTED A FULL REDESIGN OF ALL FRONT BEDS ON THIS PROPERTY. THEY HAD NO SPECIFIC PREFERENCES, IT WAS UP TO ME TO DEVELOP A PLANTING PLAN THAT WOULD BE ABLE TO REPLACE ALL PLANTS CURRENTLY PLANTED AND FILL IN AND FILL OUT THE BEDS WHILE ALSO PLANNING FOR LOW-MAINTENANCE, SEAONAL INTEREST AND ECOLOGICAL RESILIENCE.

PLANTING AND DESIGN LOGIC

THIS CLIENT WANTED A LOW MAINTENANCE, LOW WATER DESIGN. 
NO LIVE PLANTS, A ROCK AND SCULPTURE DESIGN CONCEPT ONLY.
THEY WANTED THE MOON PHASES, STONES, AND SCULPTURES INSTEAD OF HIGH MAINTENANCE PLANTINGS.
THIS AREA ALSO DIDN'T RECIEVE A LOT OF SUNLIGHT, SO IT FURTHER ENCOURAGED THE DESIGN RATIONALE FOR A XERISCAPE REQUIRING LITTLE SUNLIGHT, WATER OR MAINTENANCE.
